Standard Bimini Construction
Our ‘standard’ or ‘universal’ bimini is designed for customers who don’t need something ‘custom made’ and want a top quickly. It comes in 2 lengths, 6 or 8 feet, set heights and a variety of widths. Even though it is designed for economy it still possesses our trademark high quality materials and workmanship:

Tops are adaptable for enclosure curtains and a matching boot can be ordered separately. Measure your boat according to the below instructions so you know what size Standard Bimini to order.

• 100% solution dyed acrylic Sunbrella® OR waterproof acrylic vinyl Seamark™ fabric,
• a wide variety of colors
• 1” stainless steel tube framework
• stainless steel fittings
• zippered pockets
• heavy duty V138 thread (TWICE the industry standard!)
• high quality YKK marine grade zippers.

How to Measure for a Bimini Top

1) Measure Length: Using a tape measure, decide what area or portion of the boat length you would like the top to cover (6' to 8' lengths are available).

2) Measure Mounting Width: Two 90° standard deck mounts are included with each bimini for mounting on a horizontal surface, however, several other types of mounts are available for mounting vertical, angled, curved and rounded areas. The pivotal mounting point where the top's main bow attaches on each side of the boat is approximately half way between the front and the rear of the top. To find the width of the bimini top you need, determine the best location to install the mounts (one on each side of the boat), and measure the distance across the boat from one mounting point to the other.

Please note: Do not install bimini mounts on windshield wings if they are not stout enough to handle the pressure or if there is a possibility of shattering the glass when drilling.

3. Determine Height: To determine the height of the top you need, measure from the pre-determined mounting point straight up until you reach the height you desire. Bimini heights listed are measured from mounting point all the way up to the very top portion of the bimini.
