Before the Sale
Boatswain’s Locker will provide customers
with expert advice on the materials and design that
will best fit his/her vessel for aesthetics and
use. We will provide customers with free, written
estimates before proceeding with any project. It
is the customer’s responsibility to review
the quote so that all information is correct before
proceeding with the actual construction and development.
We will measure, pattern and install all boat canvas
or marine upholstery at the boat’s location
unless other arrangements have been made.
After the Sale – Limited Warranty
It is our intention that every product leaving Boatswain's
Locker is of the finest quality and workmanship
and therefore, it is covered for one (1) year from
the date of invoice against any defects in workmanship,
provided there has been normal use and proper maintenance.
Most all of the materials we use have a limited
manufactures' guarantee against material failure.
If your material fails, Boatswain's Locker will
act as mediators for you. Be aware that most guarantees
do not include costs relating to remanufacture,
but to the cost of the fabric only. All dealers
require that the failed material be returned to
them for testing. You must follow the guidelines
for maintenance set by the manufacture in order
for them to refund your material cost.
Any damage resulting from neglect on the customer’s
part to not maintain or secure the canvas properly
would not be covered under the warranty. Boatswain’s
Locker will always provide care labels and/or instruction
on canvas maintenance, installation and storage.
Items Not Covered

Clear vinyl curtains
are not warranted after taking delivery. The
reason for this exception is that these items
are easily scratched or marred by improper
handling, storage and cleaning. |

Mildew on fabric or zippers
is not considered a defect. Mildew is caused
by dirt and moist conditions. Our products
should be cleaned regularly and kept dry if
possible. |

Misused or abused products
are not covered. We reserve the right to refuse
a claim based upon our inspection of the returned
product. |
Factory Replacement
All reorders for canvas will be made from the most
current patterns for the year, make, and model supplied
to us. We cannot guarantee fit due to outside installation
sources or changes that may have been done to the
boat after it has left the factory. Colors are not
guaranteed to be an exact match due to dye variations.
We will come install our product at almost any location
at an additional cost. Just
ask us about it!
