Locker Takes Home Two Marine Fabrication Excellence
Awards
Roseville, MN – March 17, 2005
- The Marine Fabricators Association (MFA) is
pleased to announce Boatswain’s Locker as
a double winner in the 2005 Marine Fabrication
Excellence Awards Program held during the MFA
National Convention, February 12-15, 2005 in Savannah,
Georgia.
Boatswain’s Locker of Jacksonville, FL,
a division of Marine Accessories Corporation,
received an Outstanding Achievement award in the
Soft Top Dodger 31-45 feet category and an Award
of Excellence in the Hard Top Dodger category.
The overall quality of the craftsmanship, as well
as the design and function of the products, secured
the awards for the company.
Sponsored by MFA, a division of the Industrial
Fabrics Association International ((IFAI), the
MFA Fabrication Excellence Awards Program recognizes
the latest advances in technical fabric design
and manufacturing in the marine textiles industry.
A team of MFA members, who are Master Fabric Craftsman
(MFC) Certified, judged the program entries with
the following criteria: 25% design, 25% craftsmanship,
25% originality and 25% difficulty.
